If you can boil water... You can brew UP N' ATOM brand Chai.
We encourage experimentation until you find the strength and flavor of the brew that matches your tastes, and to help you with that here's some UP N' ATOM brewing tips to get you started.
Bring to a boil 3 to 4 quarts of water.
Lower the heat to a very low simmer and add 1/2 to 2/3s cup spice blend.
Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
You can always brew larger or smaller quantities depending on your needs. Just make adjustments in spice amounts and simmering times. (5/12/10 update: by adjustments I mean I'm thinking smaller amounts ought to be simmered shorter times)
A new UP N' ATOM brewing tip is to brew in the evening. Simmer the spices for the 30 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it sit over night. The long steep really helps to blend the flavors and gives plenty of time for everything to settle, making it easier to strain in the morning. Strain and store in your refrigerator to reheat a cup or pot at a time, it'll keep well 5-7 days without milk or sweetners, add them when you're ready to drink a cup either hot or iced.
Traditionally Chai is very sweet, and you'll have to choose how sweet you like. It tastes great with honey, sugar or sweetener of your choice.
Serve with 1/4 or 1/3 soy, almond or milk of your choice and tastes.

A Traditional blend of Spices with Organic Teas
Our Chai Masala (Sanskrit words meaning "tea spice") is made from
the finest whole spices imported from around the world. We
chop and blend them in our kitchen just before packing so you can
brew a traditional chai with the most aromatic, flavorful and exotic
spices available.
The Ingredients are Indonesian grown cinnamon and ginger,
fancy green cardamom pods from Guatemala, coriander from Canada,
cloves, allspice
and black pepper. (Feb. 2010 recipe change)
We now make four Chai blends.
- Our Traditional Chai with Organic Chinese Black Tea.
- One with Organic Chinese Green Tea.
- One with Organic Red Rooibos Tea, from South Africa.
- and a Caffeine-free blend with no tea mixed with the spice.

Retail Packaging
The Chai is packed in resealable zip-loc pouches. The pouch has a net weight of six ounces.
Each pouch is 7" high by 6"wide.
The punch hole at the top allows for hanging clip displays, while the 2.5" gusset at the bottom allows for shelf displays.
There are six pouches in a case.
These air tight moisture proof zip loc pouches are ideal for freezer storage to retain long term freshness of the spices.
